Schorer, Joyce (Marriage - 28 July 1945)

Miss Joyce Schorer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schorer, and Charles Ohlinger, son of Bert Ohlinger, were united in marriage Saturday morning, July 28th, at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. Francis Bienkowski reading the marriage ceremony. Alberta Ohlinger, sister of the groom, was maid of honor and Marion Dallman was bridesmaid. Grace Schorer, the bride’s sister, was junior bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Raymond Kunze, Hubert Apfelbeck and Orville Frick.

The bride was attired in a white satin gown with train and her bouquet consisted of pink and white carnations and sweet peas. The Misses Alberta Ohlinger and Marion Dallman wore dresses of blue rayon, shirred bodice, net covered skirts, and blush veil. Their wrist bouquets consisted of pink and white carnations. The junior bridesmaid wore a pink dress and blush veil with wrist bouquet.

A wedding reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being decorated with pink, blue and white streamers and a large white bell.

The couple will live on the groom’s farm in the town of Hull, Wis.

Relatives and friends from out of town who attended the wedding included Miss Alberta Ohlinger of Chicago, Mrs. Burdett McNauli of Chili, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Thusty and sons of Medford and Mrs. Leonard Jungwirth and daughter, Diana, of Oshkosh.
